After five solo albums, and a career that spans longer than a decade, R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn shows no signs of slowing down. The veteran crooner has a new album in the works and new single, “Don’t Come Easy,” that’s making respectable rounds on radio stations.

“The inspiration behind the video was to a paint a picture of a man/woman’s desire to give unconditional love,” said DeVaughn via e-mail. “The lyrics and the vibe of the song were also direct inspirations. We wanted a grown and sexy feel that can reach adult contemporary as well as millennials.”

The song will be included on DeVaughn’s upcoming, not-yet-titled, album. When asked if he’s learned anything new about himself while working on his new project, DeVaughn said he’s learning to be more strategic.

“I am more concerned that the music, message, image and the team align properly,” DeVaughn said. “They are all critical to the success of a singer or album. I have a more strategic approach. Lastly, I learned how important balancing each hat I wear as a recording artist and father.”

Drake has just dropped a brand new music video for “Jumbotron Shit Poppin,” one of the tracks from his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. The video montages footage of Drake dancing in a variety of luxurious locations, showcasing his smooth moves and stylish attire.

This isn’t the first time Drake has collaborated with other artists recently. Just a couple of weeks ago, he teamed up with dancehall superstar Popcaan for the music video of “We Caa Done,” a track that will appear on Popcaan’s upcoming album Great Is He. Drake will be releasing the album through his own record label, OVO Sound.

Her Loss, Drake’s collaboration with 21 Savage, was first announced last October in a video for their track “Jimmy Cooks.” The album went on to reach number one on the charts just a month later. However, the duo did face some legal issues during the release of the album when Vogue filed a lawsuit against them for copyright violation due to the use of fake magazines in their promotional materials. Despite the legal hiccup, Her Loss has been well-received by fans and critics alike.
